I decided to install some mods and i installed quite a bit at once and need help if possible finding the bad mod. I will post my load order so you can look at it. kjb1686 Posted April 24, 2012 Author Share Posted April 24, 2012 Well when i go to start a new game i click new game it plays through the scene then at the loading screen to get into the docs house boom CTD. That is why i am thinking something is wrong because it works fine before i installed mods. Also should add that i used FNVedit and FNVMASTERUPDATE, to make a merged patch at the very bottom. Kainschilde209 Posted April 24, 2012 Share Posted April 24, 2012 Masterupdate is your problem. Project Nevada and New Vegas Bounties in particular hate being masterupdated. Also, you may want to try only installing your mods one or two at a time. I was having the same problem with crashing when leaving Docs house. I did a clean install, added only mods affecting startup (PN for the first implant, Lean Start Gear, a few armors that spawn in docs house), started the game and got out of the house. Then I spent some time exiting, adding mods, restarting and testing, repeat until all my mods were added. This also adds the benefit of making it easier to identify conflicts, as its easier to remove one or two mods to find which one was the problem, opposed to 20. You don't have to MU to make a merged patch, it works fine without one. Just either dont make the patch until you're done adding or remember to remove and remake after each addition. kjb1686 Posted April 24, 2012 Author Share Posted April 24, 2012 Okay problem solved like Kainschilde209 said it was the masterupdate that was the problem i reversed it booted up and poof it works. I only tried to load the game in and havent tried any farther so i don't know if i will crash upon leaving docs house i will find out later i have other things to do. This can be closed now. Qualanqui Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 PN rebalanced has a problem with NVEC remove project nevada except for the PN core mod and the DLC patches also NVEC does a compiled more perks patch so go get that and get rid of all those other ones (perks, traits and for companions basically the whole thing) and if I remember williow may have issues with other mods go check the page and you could try imps more complex needs instead of Primary Needs HUD makes hardcore heaps of fun and also try Clean Deluxe and New Vegas Stutter Remover both will help your game run nicer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
