jaysus
mmh... ya well... ill stay with my easy stuff then until im totally bored :P as to the different parts... why not detach them as seperate objects/nitristrips or just give them 0 weight? youd prolly have to stretch the "soft" material underneath the "hard" material thou as not to see the strange bendingbut ya i agree its kinda annoying... dont ask me how long i fizzled around with the in comparision really simple capes lolclipping is just a game feature... :P custom items usually clip even less than the vanilla stuff... xcepts for anythign you try to wear additional to fur armor lol... tyreil829
dunno whats all teh fuzz bout rigging ma...The fuss is that is can be nightmarish for some armors due to fixing one thing and causing clipping elsewhere...a domino effect and after each change, you need to go in-game to really test it out. Just moving the skeleton in pose mode is not enough. The Boba Fett armor I've been messing with was a real challenge to rig (especially for my first entire set I've ever rigged) and there are some parts that can never be completely clip-free (such as the rocket going through the head when sneaking in this case). The shoulders seem to be the most difficult to me. When in-game, the skeleton rotates the arms oddly and lowers it to a point that they seem outta-socket. This is probably done to allow for a wide range of animation moves but it is not very pleasant if the easy tricks do not work. You also need to consider the material. With the Boba Fett armor, you want the individual metal armor on the chest to look and move as solid pieces and the underlying shirt / fabric to bend and twist rather than the metal. This is not always possible depending on the model and you might have to allow the metal pieces to bend and twist which looks a bit odd. Look at the steel armor for an example of oddly flexible metal. ;) LHammonds how is that coming on mate? not heard from you for ages keep up the work eh?
