one hand weapon on the back

it just gets worse lol... the 2handweapon equipping and unequipping animation includes the "grippingstyle" meaning how to hold the weapon... thus i really need to make a whole new animation :(

sadly all anim tuts i could find deal with other stuff than changing a default animation and none actually has any tips on how to export an animation out of max or blender... some even say its impossible... wth... i dont wanna juggle around nifskope x,y,z coordinates until it works lol... thats crazy...

someone must know somin :P tell me! now! plz i beg you lol

Nico's sscimitars come in two flavors, one for back carry and one for traditional cary.....check the other esp.

 

and yes there are two, one is an off hand weapon so look for it as a shield.

ya i heared so too... but it didnt work for me ingame for some unknown reasosn :/ so i cant even say if he really included an animation for that... at least i was able to import the animation into max now... you have to manually import the skeleton.nif first

 

the scripts he inlcuded just regulate a change in model once the sword gets sheathed so they stop flaming... (as far as i can see at least)

 

im now trying to change the onehandequip.kf and onehandunequip.kf anim - problem is that itll prolly change all one hand weapons to be carried on the back as i dont know a way yet to make a new weapon category... if someone has an idea plz share it... i dont wanna use obse btw...

mmh maybe there is a script function to apply individual animations to items...

 

edit: @buddha yeah i checked both esp but the scimitars are always at the sidenode for some reason i dont understand

oh sweet it works :)

 

import skeleton.nif

then import an animation or dont

set key on

move the bones change frame move more...

export as kf without nif

put it in the right folder and voila...

just kinda hard to get a closely realistic movement done lol... i wish i had motion capturing equipment :sigh:

 

atm my skeleton moves more like mr. parkinson...

mmh if someone now has a trick to make the sword visible :P

nifskope: backweapon

 

if i unsheath it its invisible and the sword also stays in the scabbard

 

or is there some way to attach the scabbard and sword to the back node without making it 2handed?

maybe by placing the sword at the back node in the nif? or making a new node?

mm... ok, how about this (it's easier said than done, i know but it goes like this) the weapon when holstered is a two handed sword, and when you wield it you change (via script, maybe using obse? i dunno, would have to fiddle with it) the value from "twohanded" to "onehanded" try it out, if it works i would request your permission to use your script with my rebellion sword model (yes, rebellion, ever played devil may cry? :) )
