Migrating Cave Entrance

I just started on my first level design mod. Well, not -just- started. It's actually complete and functional, but I've noticed a strange thing occur when I use the exit connected to the outer world. The cave entrance turns around. The autoload door stays in place so its still able to be used, but there's no graphical representation of the cave anymore because the actual cave has flipped around and moved sideways. It's kinda comical, actually.

 

Not sure what is causing it. I've finalized and made sure there were no triangle errors with both the interior and exterior navmeshes. And when I save and load from the outside of the cave, it loads properly, its only when leaving the interior cell that its connected to that the cave entrance decides it doesn't want to be where its at anymore. I've settled for a buried well sort of secret door that stays put in the meantime, but I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this and knows how to fix it.

 

For reference, the area I'm working with is the wilderness just to the NE of Windhelm, the mountainous area behind the city. The cave looked really nice there, but I guess it had a difference of opinion with the whole idea.

Try enabling full LOD on the cave piece that is being stubborn. It sometimes fixes the disappearing pieces placed in the tamriel worldspace. Might be part of the same bug.

Thanks! I'll give that a try when I get around to messin with the exterior again. A little gunshy of it now that the other door is serving its purpose decently. I kinda wanted to move some of the terrain to suit the cave too, but now I dunno if I will. Seems like tweaking Tamriel itself is just asking for trouble from some of the bugs and glitches I'm reading about now.
