CarlCorey Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) I did some FONV modding so I'm not a total noob with the CK (but I'm close). I'm not sure what's going on here. I'm trying to make a mod for just personal use. The plan is to take some armor/apparel from another mod which is only available via console commands, add a leveled list and let Radiant Raiments sell it. After that I wanted to copy some of the pieces and add enchantments (they aren't enchantable by default). So: Open the CKDouble click the mod that I want to enhanceDouble click my ESP file (already created)Set my ESP the active fileCreate a list, add the items and add the list to Radiant RaimentsSaveAnd nothing works in-game and when I go back into the CK my List is empty. I've checked that the ESP file isn't set read-only and verified the timestamp after saving. A similar thing happens when I duplicate one of the items from the other mod and give the copy an enchantment. The copy and the enchantment works but it totally loses the model. Everything looks good until I save, quit the CK and restart and everything is gone again. Is there some restriction on referencing things from other ESPs? David Brasher Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 (edited) Mods can't see other mods. You can't use clothing from one mod in another mod. (Unless you follow certain special procedures.) Options:(1) Merge the two mods.(2) Copy the clothing so that it exists in your mod as well as in the original mod.(2) Use Wrye Bash and other tools to make your .esp have another .esp as a master. (It really stinks. Once false click at the wrong time and you have ruined your mod and have to delete it and load up an earlier save.)
