skyrimunbroken
Is there anyone who understands taking a model from blender and putting it into skyrim?I have spent a lot of time making some models in blender. I then spent an equal amount of time followingthe handful of blender to SCK tutorials I could find and each one was very different and could only be followed partially untilit just stopped matching whatever I was seeing on my end. Or, they just skipped over very critical parts altogether and sent me on a wild goose chaseto fill in the blanks. I have several weapon models made. If someone would like to share host the mods with me, I would like to email the files to you. You can make skyrim-ready files out of themand send them back to me. If you want to host them as a mod, great. I plan on using them in larger mods I have planned. I am just so frustrated by how unbelievably unintuitive the process of simply transferring a 3d model into SCK is and have no idea how anyone has been able to figure it out.I just want to use a blender model in the SCK and the process is more complex than actually making the model and never seems to work! If you know a method of transfer, get in touch! You can do whatever with your copy of the files, I don't care. As long as credit is shared and we can keep playing and modding skyrim. Thanks! Perraine
Simplest way I know of use is to Export the 3D file from Blender as an .obj file --> Open up Outfit Studio (** being sure to un-check "smooth seam normals" under the 'Shape" menu for things like weapons or other "static" i.e not "bone weighted", objects ) --> Export the model as a .nif file once you've got the orientation/location set --> Import the file into Nifskope 2.0 and do any necessary clean ups such as texture paths and so on --> Save .nif file, making sure to have 'Auto Sanitize enabled. Elsys656
auto sanitize in nifskope is going to break the nif so you'll need to copy trishapes shader properties to a properly formed nif later for import but it will fix other issues so you still should do it just remember to copy the result over to another nif otherwise it probably wont import. If its a sword copy to a sword nif etc. Update tangent spaces in spells too on the final nif but remember to uncheck auto sanitize on your save of the fixed nif. Nifskope 2.0 dont know if this happens with the 1.0 versions. Edited April 25, 2018 by Elsys656
skyrimunbroken
thanks guys, but i have done tutorials step buy step that outline thatkind of proccess. they don't match up to whatever i have in my screen.the proccess is very long and technical and i have no idea what any of the coded words mean or what i am actually doing,so it is not intuitive for me. I wish they had just used meaningful words and descriptions instead of things like trishape data which has no meaning to anyone who did not create the word.also, i have no idea what to overwrite for the color/material data. probably because i still have not found a decentdescription on how to texture something for transferring into programs like skyrim.i can make nice looking items in the blender program, but just do not have the programming experience to do the insane proccess of splicing it into a file the SCK can understand.if you know of any tutorials that helped you, kindly let me know!thanks and have a splendid day
