My dudes, you can not imagine how f***ing long it took me, googleing for some form of fix to finaly, FINALY find people who have the same problem I have. And I think I might have found the solution (I can not verify this yet because bethesda has just today graced us with another damn CreationClub patch which I unfortunatley downloaded, so I will have to wait until F4SE updates), but I think what is causing this for me is the mod "Lots more Settlers and Enemies", which I only used because it is a required mod for the fantastic "Immersive Wastelanders" mod. After you wonderful people pushed me into the "it's NPC mods" direction, I finaly stumbled upon this being a known issue with LMSE and the author of Imemrsive Wastelanders provided a "fix" in his comment section. The dependency between IW and LMSE is only related to some face and hair assets. To keep IW working while also removing the stuttering and freezing issues caused by LMSE, you have to remove the NPCs added to the leveld lists by the mod with FO4Edit (a tutorial for that is provided in IW's comment). I so hope that this is solving the issue for me, because belive you me, I did f*#@ign EVERYTHING. Ini tweaks, mods reducing shadow quality, even the f***ing hour long process involved in using the Texture Optimization mod and it all did jack s***. If this realy solves the problem for me, i will celebrate.

If this helps (or not, either way) I will come back to you guys. Seeing as some time has passed since you last talked here, maybe you also found this solution on your own (or found another one). Hopefuly you're reading this.

Cheers, mates!

Edit: I also just found out that apparently there is a complete rework of the Supermutant Redux mod in the works which will hopefully fix the stutter issues caused by that mod. I hope that comes soon, because Supermutant Redux truely is a must have.

The mod I am using is similar it LMSE in it dose edit every NPC in the game, but dose not add new ones. Adjusting my load order helped some what, but since the mod has to adjust every NPC when they load into view it dose take a second or two do so.

I am not willing to stop using the mod, so I am living with the issue.

So, after some intense hours of using google and learning a few new things, I finaly have solved the issue for me (at least for the time being). The culprit for me seems to have been the Real HD Faces mod in combination with any and all mods that add new NPCs drawing from that same pool of NPC faces. To solve the problem I packed the loose files of Real HD Faces into ba2 files with the help of this wonderful guide here: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22079/?tab=description

And so far the constant stuttering and freezing has not returned. I still have to go into densley populated areas, but before it even stuttered in Concord and in Sanctuary, andn ow it doesn't anymore, so I hope that the problem is gone for good.

Real HD faces is a mod I am using. It seems I now have to learn how to pack loose files into BA2s, and see if this helps as well.

Will try the .ini option, as I am way past the 255 .esp limit.

I get the dreaded black face bug doing this, and can't fix it. :(

Guess I need to stay with loose files.

You can checkout my Better Locational Damage mod. The FOMOD installer has working patch that fixes those issues. The patch is more or less configured to my mod, but should work for you. I've recreated the part that causes the issues and Nightkins are added as an additional encounter and no longer replace all existing melee SM. Supreme SM are not in, but everything else should work.
