Oblivion not loading textures.

I'm playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY on Wineskin in Mac OS X 10.6.8, using files installed from a physical copy of Oblivion and not a torrent/download. Half the textures are missing or glitching in/out of existence. My character's skin is ridiculously black, has no lips, and the other characters' faces are either badly-rendered or invisible. Also, I can see through the walls of the starting dungeon when I start a new game.

I've tried fixing it without mods, even tinkered with the .ini files, then downloaded the Unofficial Oblivion Patch and a couple of texture overhaul mods, but to no avail. Can someone please help me figure out why the textures aren't loading? Are there some settings I could try?

Speaking of settings, I would try changing them from the menu, but the game crashes when I leave the video options menu, and "saveini" doesn't work at all. I'd really love to know what to do, since Oblivion's my #1 favorite video game and would love to play it on my Macbook.

I was running Oblivion rather fine on my MacBook inside a Parallels virtual machine. Didn't have success getting anything useful out of a Wineskin wrapper at any point so far. But there's some other people on here who said they had more success, so maybe they will know more.

But if not even a Vanilla Oblivion install works technically correct, then no mod in existence will be able to fix it.

Well, I copied/pasted the files from a Windows laptop where the game was installed to a Macbook, since the Macbook wouldn't acknowledge the CD files, even when I put them on there. Is it possible that there were some files that I might've missed when I put them on there?
