evolvedbullet1 Posted April 26, 2012 Share Posted April 26, 2012 What could be causing this? I'm exploring the wilds and I find a batch of enemies I need to kill. Once I'm done, the game crashes. Or I'll find a dungeon tower to investigate, I explore it 1/2 way through, the game freezes. Any idea what kind of mod could cause this? I really don't want to bring up my load order AGAIN for the 3rd time this week; I made sure everything was compatible the last time with my mods. It didn't crash for a good 2 days (had a conflict with NPC colors and scripts). This is a new problem for me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
GrindedStone Posted April 27, 2012 Share Posted April 27, 2012 1. In past games if you had a lot of unused junk in the data folder. For example mods not being used. Would cause random issues. 2. Partialy corupt save games will cause random issues. Bulky save files typicaly nearing 15-20 Mb an above tend to do the same thing. 3. In the past games autosave, quicksave, and the continue button even. Were known to promote coruption. So folks manually create full saves. 4. Dirty mods will cause random, but Skyrim modding currently lacks the toolset to clean them. It also can not be avoided durring creating the mod. 5. Lot of folks had problems gaming in full screen mode, an so used windowed mode instead, to which a fake full screen mode was developed. 6. To a degree each game playthough will yeild a different amount of partial coruption, gamers tend to play the same one for long periods good or bad.
