Horse Mane Disappearence due to modding?

It was with either the horse armor mod, or the faster horse mod (30% "balanced" increase mod) that this came up. After uninstalling one of these, or perhaps just disabling the .esp (not using NMM), I noticed, well, almost all horses lost their manes.

Anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

Funny enough, I have the same thing going on. Perhaps we can cross reference what mods we use to see if anything in common, or if you found out what was causing it, maybe you could shed some light.
