After 4 years of playing, I finally have all the achievements.

All 72 of them which includes all the achievements from the 5 DLCs. I have finally finished off the last one, after 4 years of playing it. I didn't speed rush the achievements, I got them naturally through exploration and the storyline. I bought it for the XBox 360 back in 2008 and it has been my consistent #1 game each year since. It still is, with the only rival being New Vegas.

I have logged 305 hours with my main Lone Wanderer - Jack Trenton. A very good karma, small guns character. This is my character from the very first time I played the game, so his skills and stuff are a bit off since I didn't know much about that the first playthrough. He's 100 on small guns, lockpick, repair, medicine, science, and a few others. His main weapons are Ol' Painless bolt action rifle, Kneecapper sawed off shotgun, and Blackhawk scoped .44. His primary attire is the regulator duster. I feel most connected to this character since I've logged the most time and first discovered the Capital Wasteland with him.

My second character has 160 hours and is an evil karma character named Miles Simon. I created him because I wanted a big gun/heavy weapon playthrough, and wanted to use power armor. He is a psychotic cannibal that shoots innocent people on sight and razes entire settlements. The Enclave tried to convert him to their side but he destroyed them too. He's too psychotic to contain. Main weapons are Vengeance and A-321 plasma rifle, and he wears Hellfire power armor with three dogs head wrap and sunglasses (he took after eating Three Dogs body).

My third character is named Johnson Greene and is a neutral character. I have 105 hours logged with him. His weapons are the reservist rifle, laser rifle, and assault rifle, and he wears a mix of the mercenary armors.

My fourth character was a playthrough as Amata. I have 130 hours logged with her and very good karma. She wears Vault 101 jumpsuits and uses the Terrible Shotgun, tri-beam laser rifle, and assault rifle. I wanted a playthrough as her as I think she is a natural love interest for the Lone Wanderer and wanted to continue on the main storylines with my own by having her come out of the vault and meet with him.

All of them are now level 30 characters. As my first Lone Wanderer I finished with evil karma (due to stealing) even though he is a good character, so I kind of screwed up there. My third playthrough brought the neutral karma achievement, and my fourth just brought the good karma achievement - the final achievement I needed to complete the game.

All of this is on the XBox. I also own the game on PC and have over 130 hours of play, and have over 100 hours of PC play on New Vegas.

I can safely say that after all those hundreds of hours of gameplay I STILL have not done all the quests or discovered all the locations. I keep finding new things to do, even now, 4 years later. This game never gets old.

You don't live in Tennessee by chance do you? What am I talking about, you obviously live in the wasteland my friend. I spent the same 4-5 years on PC learning how to make mods. I injured my arm due to ergonomics an posture from long hours. So this year I had to I stop working to recover, but later on maybe I'll build a new rig in a studio. To get by I picked up a Xbox GOTY FO3 an I have to say it's so much better than PC. If everybody knew they would be kind of mad for a second. Basicly it's better weapon sounds, power armor voices, an echo indoors. Who duh thunk such a small thing would make such a big deal. I've explored many ideas on PC though none were as fun as the vanilla xbox GOTY. The community would like to proudly award you the final achievement. "The Wilson Award"

  • 2 weeks later...
This is my first post here. I wanted to do an all quest run. I didn't think it would take 4 years. I thought there were only like 30 quests in the game. They take several hours to beat yes but not 4 years of play time :P

Holy s***. 4 years?... How? I'm astounded that it could take you so long. Obviously yeah the amount of time you can put into a game is going affect how long it takes to complete, but 4 years? Took me about a month or possibly less. Unless you've been putting in something like half an hour a week and playing on hardest difficulty I don't understand how it took so long. Bearing in mind I did this on the ps3 version so had to contend with crappy load times, frequent freezes and it being bugged to f***, like every console version of every bethesda game ever made. Have to agree with GrindedStone about console sounds being better but that really doesn't make up for the bugs at all. After buying the PC version a few weeks ago I will never play this game on consle again.
