Baer2x4
The update versions of SSE and SKSE64 have to match of course. Do you have the latest update of the game & corresponding updated SKSE64?
wfandrews
Did you install Race Menu as instructed on the reddit thread? Where did you download it from? As Race Menu is still in the Alpha stage for SSE as far as I know it may be the cause of you problem.

bty0610
I installed racemenu for special edition by converting it. I watched this video and followed the instructions.I also have the latest update from steam for the game as well as SKSE for Special Edition. bty0610
So I completely reinstalled Skyrim and installed half of the mods I had. Below I provided a picture with the mods I activated and surprisingly I didn't crash with the ones activated, and I was also able to reload saves with no issues and crashes at all. So it has to be one of the mods that are not activated but the thing is I don't know which one it might be.
bty0610
I also want to input that the following mods, SG Female Eyebrows, Demonaic Textures, New Mikan Eyes, and Evyi Follower are mods straight from the regular 32bit Skyrim. bty0610
It seems that when I turned off XMP32 Maximum Skeleton the crashing stopped.... I have no idea why it was crashing my game..
bty0610
The new version of XMP32 Maximum Skeleton, version 4.31 is the culprit. I read some of the comments on it and several people had the same issue I had and they fixed it by using the older version which is version 4.20. Everything is working accordingly now. Algabar
I don't think it's the whole new XPMSSE. I had this issue, too. As soon as I disabled the "random combat animations" for NPCs (or whatever it is called exactly), everything worked fine. Now several hours into a new game with a very heavy mod list and no problems at all...
