devinpatterson
I read your link, and I like it. I think the Zion Valley would be a good place to base this possible mod in, but it would need to have a lot more vegetation. Another place you could put them is a cave in a secret testing facilty. You could possibly add some new sounds to the dinosaurs too. Otherwise I like your idea. yeah, the red rock canyons would be a good location. maybe not Zion itself specifically since that'd be pretty tought on the tribals though. Re: the cave and the testing faciliy, I'm kind of going off the idea that they've been free in the wild since the war started, not a recent experiment. Although I guess enclave or other ruthless tech savy groups could be trying experiments on them, much like the enclave did to control deathclaws. devinpatterson
again south american Terror Birdshttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Paraphysornis_brasiliensis_1.jpg re: terror birds, I'm a fan of the idea. My basic concept is that this is a typical overenthusiastic fallout capitalistic approach to business. Making money hand over fist totally overrides any safety concerns. The park/zoo would have the largest, most ferocious and impressive pre-historic animals, because that's what brings in the big crowds and the cash. So we end up with the most interesting ones, no duck billed dinosaurs in this business venture, rather T-rexes, brontosauruses (or rather supersaurus), sabre tooth tigers, etc etc and of course terror birds would be awesome. Anything truly impressive and kick butt from time past, that we can get models and animations for. Now some people would say, is it really a good idea to produce large numbers of natures most efficient killing machines? But this is the hubris of fallout's unshakable confidence in technology and the greed of a hyper inflated, predatory capitalism. The result being that some of the most evolutionarily capable killing machines known now has a second lease on life.
devinpatterson
WooHooo just got permission from Newermind43 to use his Dinosaurs for this mod. Now hopefully I can rig them correctly to the existing FONV skeletons, then this project is a go. Here's a pic of one of his Dino's http://static-1.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/16984-1-1347896481.png So probably time to start putting together additional ideas and quests. Dinosaurs!!!
