archimagekhan
Hello everyone, I'm encountering a little problem. I have a heavily modded (and scripted) game. But it runs without any problem, thanks to Crash fixes of course, enboost and stability guides provided here. But I've reached a point where I can't add new mod (I'm trying forgotten dungeons, hammet's dungeon pack... a.o.) without CTD on load. When I untick some of my heavy mods, like Icycle Valley, Vigilant, dyndolod, it finally works. The more new mod I try to install, the more old mod I have to remove. It really doesn't seem to be an incompatibility issue but more like a "reached limit" issue. As if I had to many things loaded in the game (like too many cells, too many locations, I don't know), and I have to remove some, to allow new ones. Does anybody has ever heard of this, and is there a solution, other than uninstalling old mod to enjoy new ones? ( to be clear : I'm not at 255 esp of course). I've tried LOAD GAME CTD, doesn't fix it, CRASH fix ENBOOST threads parameters, doesn't work either. Thanks for any help you can provide! jones177
Hi You may be running into the 32 bit ram limitation. Easy to test. Use Skyrim Performance monitor to see if the ram graph heads up without leveling off before the CTD. When it happened to me the first time I fixed it by going back to ugridstoload 5 from 7.I happened to me the second time when I stopped using enbhost.exe(at one point it caused stutter). I still like to keep vram around 3.5gbs even though 11gbs is on my card. When you go over the esp limit all mods stop working. It is a bit comical when it happens. archimagekhan
I checked and it doesn't. But after several tests and investigations, I finally discovered that it is likely linked to the number of records... I've got 3 millions records in my load order, and though it is said (here and there) that the max is 16 millions, I noticed that when I change a 100.000 record mod for a 120.000 records one, then CTD. But if I change a 100.000 mod with a 80.000, then no problem... I made a lot of tests, like change a 100.000 for one 50.000 + one 30.000, and no CTD. It really seems to be the number of records that is the problem, not the number of scripts, not the number of esp...Now, maybe the limit is indeed 16 millions and my computer can't handle more than 3 millions for some reasons, but it is definitly not a RAM issue, at least according to Skyrim Monitor... Thank you for your answer anyway, help is always appreciated :-)
