Scope replace

I run NVEC+PN+AWOP+MoMod+WMX+++

Ok i found a nice scope pack: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35908 BUT:

Where to place those scopes? There is a lot different type of scopes now and i have no idea where to find them in folders. As for example at Legends preset mod - there is a nice Winchester but scope is.............

At scope pack, scopes comes with 1 name, but that name exactly i do not have anywhere at FNV folders:)

Those are simple texture replacement files. Choose one (that's what the JPG files are: images of each replacer so you can see what you are choosing) and drop the contents of it's folder under "Textures\weapons\scope" under the "Data" folder. (You should notice that each folder name in that mod contains that path, and they all have the same filenames for their texture files: "mildot_o.dds", and sometimes "varmit_o.dds".) Because they are replacements, you can only choose one version; not multiple ones.

That i do, but replace only sniper scope. Where to look to replace pistol and other scopes? WMX , i think, have several type of scopes and for my bad luck worst goes to that Winchester:)

Don't know, but they are probably named something else not included in that mod.

 

To research this, I would suggest you open the mesh of a weapon that does use a scope you want to replace in NifSkope and determine the "*_o.dds" file paths it uses. That would be what you need to replace with some alternative (and probably resides in a "Fallout - Textures or Textures2.BSA). Then you either have to locate some mod that has a replacement for that file, or "copy-and-rename" one to that name or create your own.

:laugh: I menage to replace almost all scopes except that one. Fun. It's "lever carbine scope". And i do replace any file i found named xxscope:))))))
