Ulstan
I admit, this mod has me beat :P I'm trying to get it to work with OOO, and I gather from hints and rumors I'e seen around that there may be some incompatibilities? I'm just kind of overwhelmed by all the options at the moment, and am having a hard time figuring out what settings would line up well with the 'intended OOO experience'. In stock Oblivion you could level 10 major skills and get +5 to 3 attributes if you did it right. Now, as long as I don't use the part of KCAS which changes how fast you level (instead using the one in OOO for that) presumably I could simply replace how many attributes you get on level up with causing attributes to increase every time you level up a major skil, correct? However, after installing KCAS I have observed the following: (a) The 'I have ascended to level 2' 3 points that I get to put (1 each into a different attribute) don't seem to actually increase my attributes(b) When I level a major skill, no corresponding attribute gain happens. I do not know if this is just because I have the KCAS settings wrong, or if the KCAS install is somehow messed up.
Mrpnut08
to tell you the truth KCAS IS a bit complex to set....first thing that you must know about KCAS is that it completely replaces the Vanilla Oblivion Leveling system. So dont expect to be able to mix them up (the choose 3 atributes menu appears to tell you u leveled... he set the multipliers to 0 so that it wont mess up KCAS giving the player extra points) Also check KCAS Manual (It has the formulas he used to make the mod) so maybe understanding how the formulaswork might help you get that setting right (at least it did for me). In KCAS every section (skill distribution , percentages, maximum attributes, etc) are very closely related so be sure to read the manual Dont expect that every major skill level will raise you an attribute (it can be set to go that way but default setting wont do so)rather you need from 3 to 5 skill pointa to get an attribute There can also be some incompatibility with OOO (i dont use OOO so i dont know) Its all about understanding the formulas and the setting right (READ THE MANUAL)
Ulstan
Thanks for the help! :thanks: I've read and re-read the manaul, and played around with it in game quite a bit, and I think I'm starting to get the hang of what it all means. I figured out how to make it take 10 major skills per level, for example. In fact, about the only number I can't figure out the formula for is the attribute gain per skill stat...for my skills it ranges from 2.11 to 3.07. I assume this is how many skill levels you need per attribute point, but I haven't quite figured out exactly where these numbers come from yet.
