Multiple followers AI glitching?

Sorry if its tldr but help me

I've started skyrim a few days ago I've downloaded quite a few mods since.

Everything was working fine and I was especially fond of the better follower follower improvements mod by Jome I installed

but ever since I installed a second bunch of mods I have a problem with my follower AI

 

I've recruited uthgerd, Lydia and faendal as followers and they followed me just fine.

but ever since I installed the second bunch of mod only faendal follows me around and the females show up only when I engage in combat and they just walk away after combat. They don't even show up when I fast travel.

 

I've also tried to recruit more followers and even they seem to be bugged.

I tried to recruit them before my second batch of mods: they joined me regularly and the message that said one of my other followers left me showed up.

But now but after I tell them to follow me, I just see their equipment change rapidly

and nothing happens. Not even the message telling me one of my other followers left shows up.

When i talk to them the "follow me" dialogue shows up again and the whole thing repeats.

 

Everything else ingame seems to be working fine.

 

I think it might be the UFO follower mod I also installed clashing with the old follower mod but I have literally no clue of how these mods work and I'm too scared to do something stupid

Should I get rid of the old follower mod by Jome? Or is it some stupid thing that I don't know about since because I'm a skyrim noob? (Idk I've installed some player homes and didn't visit them yet)
