Cropgun
The problem that I'm having is that when I do a fresh install of FO4 and NMM I can't seem to keep my mods without having NMM all sorts of messed up when I re-install NMM Right now, when I reinstall FO4 and the NMM, my mods that I have downloaded still show up in NMM as being installed and active on my game. Obviously they are not installed on my fresh game, and the green checkmarks make it hard to figure out where I may have stopped and started when re-installing mods. Even if I have time to sit down and reinstall all my mods all in one sitting its easy to lose track of my progress because everything still shows up as active and installed. How do I preserve my mods but when I reinstall NMM they show up as greyed out and ready for install?

audiodef
To completely blow away an old install in preparation for a virgin new install: 1. Uninstall game via Steam. 2. Manually delete the game folder in Windows Explorer. 3. Find NMM's own folder for that game in Windows Explorer and delete that. 4. Go into your Documents folder and delete the game folder from My Games. You don't need to uninstall/reinstall NMM itself. Cropgun
are the mod .ESP files in your Data folder? You mean after uninstall and then reinstall? No, I don't think so. The problem I'm having is after uninstalling and then re-installing, NMM still thinks all my mods are installed in my fresh install (green checks next to the mod). Sure I can go through and just hit reinstall mod on every item but then its very hard to keep track of what I have installed and what I don't have installed. Is there a way after a reinstall to make all the mods in NMM appear greyed out again like they are uninstalled? Also, if you want to avoid re-downloading your mods, move the zipped mod downloads out of NMM's mod download folder before deleting NMM's folder for that game. Then you can use NMM's install from file utility for your mods.
