Duderonomous
Hello, I have recently ran into an issue with CK crashing whenever I try to make a Static Collection. I've tried creating new .esp's and nothing I do seems to matter. Roughly 2 weeks ago this wasn't a problem, I was able to create SCOL's without a hitch. Now, CK works fine until I try to create a SCOL, doesn't matter if I use vanilla models, custom models, etc. and it also doesn't matter how few or how many models I use, all attempts end in a crash. Please help! If anyone out there knows of a solution, I would be forever grateful. Thank you,The Dude
HagiuAlexandru
I m gonna ask a few stupid questions:Have you tried reinstalling CK?? How does CK acts usually?Do you have lag when you work with it? How long does it usuall takes to load all the main files (fallout4.esm dlcrobot.esm dlcworkshop01.esm dlccoast.esm dlcworkshop02.esm dlcworkshop03.esm and dlcnukaworld.esm) ? Duderonomous
Haven't tried reinstalling it yet. I was scared to. It usually takes less than a minute to load the main files. It's not laggy at all unless I turn on lights and sky and animations all at once. Duderonomous
Ok, just uninstalled and then reinstalled CK. No good. Didn't fix the problem. But, I was wondering, when reinstalling CK it asks me something like these 7680 or whatever files are the same as these 7680 files, do you want to replace or skip? I replaced them all. With the exact same files, I guess? I was wondering if I should have skipped instead. I'm growing really frustrated with CK, but would very much like to finish, at least, this vendor mod I'm working on. I need to make SCOL's in order to complete it, there's just no other way. There's got to be something to fix this.
payl0ad
The CK will crash with certain SCOLs that it can generate, but not parse. This happens, for example, when you have an SCOL that generates a nif with a havok physics node inside. This can happen if you use custom STAT records that are made from nifs that are physics enabled.
Duderonomous
Doesn't matter which static models I use. I've done a lot of experiments with various statics these last few days. I even messed around in Nifskope to try and eliminate troublesome nodes. But, it doen't make any difference. Something is wrong. I'm wondering if there's something I have to change in the CK or CK Preferences folders' Configuration settings. Like I said before, it worked fine up until I had to make my like 10th or 11th SCOL and then kaput. Now, even starting a new .esp, grabbing 2 non-havok based static models, like 2 rocks, and trying to make a SCOL out of them, crashes CK. Fuggin' frustrating. payl0ad
OK, seems you have a different issue. If reinstalling doesn't help, maybe there's a different issue? Does the CK maybe miss write permissions for its Data folder or something? Edited May 1, 2018 by payl0ad
Duderonomous
I wouldn't even know how to look into that.
