mod noob questions

I am not sure this is the place for this but I am a moding noob. I am not even the type mod a game. the thing is I want to play a more adult version of fallout 4... I will not go into what other then it's a pansexual thing.{not till I memorise the rules} I am just afraid of two things viruses and messing up the game or my computer.... ontop of that I tried to play and elder scrolls game and had a bad time there. so is there any advice I can get... also is this forum able to handle at least pg13 conversation.
