Problem with rock surface looking wet/shiny

Hi, i have a problem where my mountains and some rocks far away from water looking wet / super shiny. Anyone knows how i can remove it? Or a fix for it?

That's what you get for using "Oldrim" landscape textures in SE. In SE, the normal maps for landscape textures contain an Alpha channel, while the normal maps for "Oldrim" landscape textures don't. This results in tha "shiny" effect.

 

What you can do:

- Easy way: Only use landscape textures that were actually made for SE or properly "converted" to SE.

 

- Hardy way: Adjust your landscape textures' normal maps yourself:

 

If it's only rocks, I'd probably don't bother with all the GIMP / Photoshop work and simply use a rock/mountain texture mod for SE. There are several really good ones out there. Pick your flavor. ^^
