Afropriest
Hello. I was in the middle of working on simple alternate mesh mod for fallout 4. My process was exporting my Nif from 3dsmax, copying that in Nifskope and pasting it over an extracted Nif into another instance of nifskope from the game data files. This worked fine for a while, but suddenly it stopped working across a normal instance of Nifskope and one that has opened a 3dsmax Nif export. Nifskope [Fallout 4 Nif] ----copy/paste----> Nifskope [Fallout 4 Nif]Works fine Nifskope [Fallout 4 Nif] ----copy/paste----> Nifskope [3ds max exported Nif]Does not work Nifskope [3ds max exported Nif] ----copy/paste----> Nifskope [Fallout 4 Nif] Does not work Nifskope [3ds max exported Nif] ----copy/paste----> Nifskope [3ds max exported Nif]Works fine Also, the error message it gives me when I try the third case is "Could not insert NiBlock... unknown block".It does not say anything in the second case. I'm using Nifskope 2.0 Dev 7, 3ds Max 2018 with Niftools Max plugin 4.0.0.b2 Sorry if this was a convoluted, hard to understand post. Not on the top of my game right now. Afropriest
Solution in my case: make sure you remember to select "Fallout 4" instead of whatever the default is in the drop-down menu of the Nif exporter window.ugh... this was a dumb problem that had me tearing my hair out. Can't believe it even happened.
