David Brasher
In Oblivion, it was sometimes hard to start a quest because you had to have the topic for the first line of dialog added first before the NPC could talk about it. In Skyrim it seems that you don't have to do this because all dialog in Top Level Dialog Branches of Start Game Enabled quests are available for use by NPCs without any other action on your part. But then when it stops working all of a sudden, I wonder what I am missing. I wonder if there is something I am supposed to be doing differently. Am I supposed to be using some command similar to Oblivion's AddTopic?

Perhaps adding more info would help...
David Brasher
Earlier on in the modbuilding process, the first line of dialog worked properly 100% of the time. There were some problems with other lines of dialog after that. But I thought I had gotten them fixed. In one play-test, I was able to run through all the branches of dialog and have all 11 of them work right. This whole section of the mod worked flawlessly in that play-test. Then I bring in a different play-test character to double-check, and the whole thing is broken. I can't even get the first line of dialog which had never been a problem before. Then I try some extreme testing and I remove all dialog conditions from the first line of dialog so that everyone in the world will say it. But nobody says it! This defies logic. Nothing I try will make any character in the world say any of my dialog, which was working perfectly earlier. I use clean saves and three different characters. I tweak all sorts of things and test in many ways.

I could perhaps test it and look it over to see if I can figure it out.
