Need help with installing mods (new guy here)

So I recently got in the mood to play Skyrim again and wanted to install some proper mods this time around. Thing is, I don't really have any experience with modding (except the Steam Workshop). I got the mods that I could install via NMM to work perfectly fine but the mods where the author tells you to install them manually are giving me trouble. I looked this up :"http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/How_to_install_Skyrim_mods". Skyrim isn't installed in the Programms folder, I ran it as an Admin and I gave myself Full Control permissions in the Skyrim folder. Then I extracted the files into the data folder as described. However the mods don't show up in the plugins tab in NMM and don't appear in the game either.

 

I'm pretty sure I missed something since I don't know a lot about modding but I have no idea what that could be.

I was hoping you guys would be kind enough to help the new guy. Any help is appreciated!

well , none of these mods have a plugin , so you shouldn't expect to find anything in the plugins tab

however , if you are sure the textures don't appear in game , it probably means you messed something up when installing the mods , or when setting your game for modding

try looking up a tutorial on how to set up your game for modding , make sure to follow the tutorial and see if the mods work now

if not , it's probably a problem with how you installed the mods (I don't understand why you have NMM yet wish to install mods manually , but that's a different issue)
