njits
I had this really cool idea for "evil" players. What if we had a proper evil castle in the vain of Dracula's Castle or Barad Dur in Lord of the Rings? You could put it in a separate space like in the ill met by moonlight quest where the sky is all red and creepy and such. That way you could make it all dark and scary, have the creepy butler, the scary trees under the moonlight. Basically just a huge black antagonist castle player home. I know it's a little bit ambitious and over the top but looking at all the player homes that have already been made, and the amount of people making player home mods I think it's definitely possible. Here a re some photo's for referencehttp://features.cgsociety.org/newgallerycrits/g33/172433/172433_1180400205_large.jpg http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs26/f/2008/031/f/8/Dark_Castle_by_Shadow_Park.png http://www.lotrscenerybuilder.org/images_small/Barad-dur/Barad-dur_Dark_Tower_Sauron_I.jpg http://www.draculascastle.eu/wp-content/gallery/mr-dracula/draculascaslte1.jpg This could be awesome! Edited April 30, 2012 by njits
RaktoastTheSandwichTopper
i think this would look really good up north and to who ever makes it maybe use the college as a base and then just evil-amaphy it

njits
Some one made a mod for Oblivion to make Barad Dur style castles, it's probably the best example in a elder scrolls type setting. http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/downloads/images/22945-1-1236277756.JPG http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=22945 The reason I want it in skyrim though ( obliviously because its the newest elder scrolls game) is because I think it works much better with skyrims landscape. the mountains create a perfect set up for these type of fortresses. I would have made it myself but I simply lack the time to teach myself to mod and actually make it. Please, please for all you modders out there, this concept is just gold waiting to fall from the sky. Some more projects people had with oblivion, which are pretty much what I had in mind. http://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq281/Nilvexan/isometric.jpghttp://i456.photobucket.com/albums/qq281/Nilvexan/ScreenShot220-1.png Edited April 30, 2012 by njits

I was thinking that it could be easier to make the actual size of the fortress not indicative of size of the inside. Make it appropriately big, but moderate, so it won't be such a big job for the inside. You could have the towers and the walls and such be hollow and just have guards patrol there, that way it minimizes the work load. Not everything you build needs to actually be an enter able space. kklusmeier
I would download this if it wasn't work heavy, but I think this (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4514) is kind of what you want, only this is on a much smaller scale and too flat (stumpy, short whatever). This (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=13236) is also similer, but again, it is on much too small of a scale and too short/ not skyscraperish. This (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11803) is my current home, and I believe probably the closest of what I have posted, but again, probably too short. Thanks for the suggestions, those are very good example's of what I mean. :) Deus Mons is the closest thing to my idea at this point, maybe the community has to grow a bit more to make castles of this size. I'm just waiting for that full blown evil fortress for now, one can dream
njits
I wonder what the Dawnguard DLC is going to bring to skyrim, structure wise. Maybe it will have better fitting structures for dark and evil fortresses, lets hope so!
