firefable
I just reset my PC and installed Oblivion. I have quite a few mods and some of them require the OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender) Something really weird is happening. I install the game, the i install the OBSE and the game starts crashing, i get halfway through the "Bethesda" logo and the game just crashes to desktop, no error messages, nothing, just crash and thats it. It seems to work fine without the script extender.... can any1 suggest anything.

SoulReaver911
Also, try starting with a new "Oblivion" folder in "/My Documents/My Games." I had to get rid of my old one because it had a lot of saves and settings that mods were using and what not that were messing up the game after a fresh install. You can replace the new Oblivion folder with your old one after installing all the patches, mods, and add-ons for the games, so you can have your old settings and saves. Hope that helps.
