Treasure!!!

Can someone make a mod thats very Dungeons and Dragons in the way that you talk to some hot chick in a tavern or brothel, she gives you a quest, after some long but interesting story or background behind it, and then she gives you a map telling you where the dungeon is-NOT A MAP MARKER! Like a hand held map, like in Knights of the Nine, were the prophet gives you a map but not map markers of the wayshrines and you have to find it yourself, that kinda map to the dungeon.

 

The dungeon looks like it has gone through many many battles and looks like it should be crumbling any time now, the door is on a slant going backwards giving the feeling the place has been leveled but still functional. This place is in either extremely dense forestation or in an area that looks like a bombed city block. No enemies as yet.

 

You venture in with your companions should you have any, with weapons at the ready. You walk around exploring the inner dungeon, looks a bit like a dungeon but without the SI plants nd matter (totems, plants, grummite eggs, dirt on the floor and such stays) while exploring, you learn that all chambers and rooms and hallways link up to one passageway going deep down (passageway looks like a cave if you know what i mean) linkin up into 2 chambers, the first one small, containing to powerful unique enemies (enemies the same) and when defeated, back grate lifts up, you walk past the first gate, walk down a very narrow passageway and into a massive room.

 

Now, as if in everything in the forgotten realms and dungeons and dragons, this is the treasure room, now, yes there will be treasure chests, but now the important details, there should be ACTUAL GOLD, THAT YOU CAN PICK UP AND USE, this will probably be extremely tedious, but it will be very worth it in the end, there should be massive stockpiles of individual gold coins, this gold, though you should be able to pick it up and use, should make you go- 'there is way to much gold to pick up, i'll just take the sword and gems...' but the gold must still be able to be picked up.

Along with the gold, there should also be gems in the gold with a big and/or glowing sword in the middle, with minor in comparison weapons on the floor around a lot of dead guys heroes who have tried to claim this treasure.

 

After you've claimed what spoils you want, your only way out is the way you came in which is now filled with enemies. You fight your way through and you survive and you spend you gold or whatever, your choice. This dungeon can be re-entered as much as you want 'treasure and enemies do not respawn'.

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, i gave alot of detail because i thought it might make it easier, the work and planning has been done, yuo jest need to put it together. And i am aware that it will be annoying putting in every single individual piece of gold 'unless of course you can duplicate it so you can turn 4 individual pieces into 4000 or 8000 or even 16000 individual pieces' but it will be very worthwhile once completed. Sword is to have its own name, sword is either stuck in the back wall or stuck in the middle of the floor and say you can only pull it out if your strength is over 90. Treasure chests contain weapons, necklaces and rings, and gems. All gold is in the open. Some gems are to be in the gold piles, some in chests. And some chests are in the gold piles, some on the ground.

 

Hope the detail has made it easier.

you forgot the adr oops dnd slaying of uncounted enemies until you actually get somin :P

maybe its possible to use a script to fill up the room with a certain amount of gold coins automaticly... like theyre dropping out of the ceiling or somin... dunno never checked for script functions that spawn stuff...

 

well your a pretty good mooder, would you be able to do something like this?

one day... maybe :P

atm im busy doing other stuff... once the contest is finished i wanted to combine all the best swords in a mod... maybe by building a dungeon though i like outdoors more... and to be honest i hate the aligning of stuff in the cs...

you also have one minor logical error in your idea... the sword/treasure is surrounded by dead adventurers right? once you take it and try to leave monsters spawn everywhere... but how come the sword is still in its place then? if the adventurers eventually died it cant be have possibly been done by the spawning monsters as you need to pick up the treasure first... thus the treasure would be scattered throughout the dungeon by now...

just a nasty trap would maybe keep that thouhgt intact

true, but like i said, its dnd style, nd maybe the monsters put back the sword? lol, and no, the treasure is in huges pilesaround the room, like in the bottom corners and and on the sides, the sword in the middle whilst the adventurers are in the middle. And i am aware of your competition, thats why this mod is open to all. And the monsters spawn after touching the sword. Whether you were able to pick it up or not. If you dont touch the sword, monsters dont spawn. But that it why i said the sword has to be big and/or glowing with a unique design, that way, people cant resist themselves.

I will admit, I'm not really seeing the D&D inspiration here... And making all the hallways lead to one treasure room sounds rather wasteful. (Aside from being, flavour-ly speaking, ridiculous room design) Finally, making the main reward a blade can be a huge gyp for Blunt and H2H users, and in this case also a huge gyp for non-fighters who can't even take it out.

well, crude of me to say, but i'm not making the mod, i cant, like i said, i'm pretty useless, lets say your gonna make it, you would be able to change it how ever you see fit then? if you think the dungeon should be like a maze of just filled with dead ends, then go ahead, if you think, along with the sword, a staff should be hung on the back wall and a unique set of gauntlets for the brawlers is well necessary, they can be rested on the hilt of the sword, then go ahead. It was just my ideas going through.

 

And i guess so, there may not be that much dnd inspiration, but it was mainly the huge stockpiles of individual coins, because they are always in those games nd it just annoys me sometimes when they say a huge treasure is to be claimed and all you see it a 4digit number with 1 coin. But anyway, this 1 is for the modders out there.
