Oblivion Or Morrowind

Personally I hate Curse of Hircine. It's too buggy and uses the lore of mythical werewolves not TES werewolves. Comparing Bloodmoon to Curse Of hircine to me is like comparing DMC 1 to DMC 2 you just don't. No offence to the person who made the mod I know they tried hard and put a lot of effort into it. I even gave them a 7 and some cunstrictive critisism on how to make it better. Personally I think if anyones at fault for messing something up it's Bethesda for not putting werewolves in to begin with, not the modder that made CoH. Hell with some tweaking CoH could be a great mod but in it's current state I will not use it.

@Leeny if you try out CoH and like it you MUST play bloodmoon. I feel the experience of the werewolf quests from Bloodmoon far beat the novelty of being a werewolf from that mod.

Oh, I know ... I have to play 99% of Morrowind yet because I've barely gotten into it, but with how into Oblivion I am, I can't sit still to play Morrowind for so long. But I still love it for all I know it has. Oblivion really shouldn't have sacrificed so much, but, you know, time is money.

Well, I've always been into roleplaying, so Morrowind gave me a few sneaky tricks.

At the beginning of the game, I'd pretend to be in a dream, be a savage killer, run into Elderfire's house and kill her, go to bed and wake up like...

"Oh my god! What a wierd dream!"

Thus owning her house. Being the best house in the starting town.

Then I discovered making my own house mods, and deleted her. Yet another fun thing!

Let's all pick on Elderfire! She looks like plastic! Woo!

I felt like kickin in this thread as well ;).

So Oblivion vs Morrowind??? Hard choice!!!

So I will write what I like/dislike about these two games:

Morrowind: Morrowind had an unique universe, where I first fell in love with RPG's. The immersive gameplay, the brilliant quests, unique landscape and a story that had no predecesors. I liked very much the Ancient Dunmer Strongholds, the Ancient Tombs and almost every creature out there (blasted Cliff Racers). It may sound weird but 2 months ago I purchased Tribunal (yeah I know it's old but I never played it :wacko:) so soon I will return to playing Morrowind and enjoy Mournhold and it's story. Why??? I have Oblivion....enjoy it and the functions it offers (especially thanks to creators of OBSE 1.5) but the quests from Morrowind, Bloodmoon and I guess Tribunal will never be equaled by the ones in Oblivion. But there are things that I hate about Morrowind...such as the walking animation (makes me think humanoids in Morrowind have sticks instead of legs), also some other animations, some wird bugs and the fact that they introduced the damn cliff racers...annoying creatures.

Oblivion: I like Oblivion very much because of the diversity of the game. You can do preety much whatever (especially with the variety of mods out there). It offers a much greater combat and magic experience that Morrowind did...but still the quests are not so exciting anymore. Fast-travel is not quite what I expected (thanks to Aridale for the No_Fast_Travel mod (I use this his/her) and the authors of the diverse transport mods). I must say I was more expecting working horse carts or something...more realistic. Obviously Bethesda let me down here. The main quest was also not quite what I was expecting...it has a little touch of mistery...but not that touch that Morrowind had. Still I play it more that Morrowind because of the great mods.

So my guess would be Morrowind = 1

Oblivion = 1

Cheers :thumbsup:

I loved morrowinds story and still play it purely for the story. I'm such a lore nut I can't put down a game with a beautiful and rich story even if the gameplay sucks horridly *cough* Advent Rising *cough* for example. I wonder if all writers are like that?
