Saratje
I'm currently working on a nice armour, which is almost working the way I want it. The only problem: the shoulders of the top part keep moving along with the bones, while I want them to stay rigid and pointing upwards without bending with the arms/shoulders. Is there some way to do this without using blender? Inside NifSkope? If I delete those bones or links to the bones in the BSDismemberSkinInstance the vertexes of the model instead end up completely warped and drawn to the floor. What could I do instead, inside NifSkope? The red circles in the following attached images show what I mean, these parts I want to remain rigid while the rest (clavicle, collarbone, etc) move along with the body. You can see they clearly still interact with the bones. Can this be done without Blender? Edited April 30, 2012 by Saratje
steve40
I'm still learning about these programs, but I think you just need to set the WEIGHTS of the shoulder pieces to zero so that they are not influenced by the bone movements? Not sure if you can do this in nifskope or not, but worth trying.
