NPCs don't wear glasses, they go naked instead.

Hi, was wondering if any veteran modders can help in this.

 

I love this mod that adds custom glasses to the game:

So i wanted to incorporate the glasses in the mod to some of the npcs in my esp,

and found that some npcs either do not wear them, or they just go naked.

 

Here is what i did. Hopefully this can help identify what i did wrong.

 

1) For Tolfdir, the default outfit set for him was "CollegeMasterAlterationOutfit" which had ClothesMGBoots and EnchClothesRobesMageAlteration05 within it.

 

2) i created a new outfit for him called "TolfdirGlasses" and basically dragged ClothesMGBoots, EnchClothesRobesMageAlteration05 and

also a new armor GLASSA, which was one of the glasses in the glasses mod that i wanted to give him.

 

3) Once "TolfdirGlasses" outfit was created, i set it as his default outfit.

 

4) Previewed it under the Face Anim Preview tab > Full Preview and all was well. Tolfdir is wearing the correct clothes and even wearing the glasses i gave him.

 

5) I saved the esp and tested it out, but he's naked in game lol!!

 

6) To make sure the esp loaded right, i loaded it at the bottom of the list, but still naked.

 

Would appreciate some advice on this matter :D

This could be a savegame memory issue. You probably play-tested with a character who had met Tolfdir before, and the game remembered what he was supposed to wear. If you had started a new character or play-tested with a character who had never met Tolfdir before, chances are that he would not have been naked because the game would always remember him as having possessed your custom outfit.

 

The situation may be temporary too. Like if you left the cell and returned, maybe Tolfdir would wear the new outfit.

Doesn't look like a savegame issue, i started a new game, unchecked all mods and checking only the bare minimum ones and started a fresh new game.

While they are not naked now, they still do not wear the glasses. I suspect because the glasses are using Biped Object 54 - Unnamed.
