lazerus76
Hey all, I'm looking to create some custom NPCs but have a question about AI packages. Can I use packages tied to existing NPCs or will they conflict with the original character. For example I'd like to get my NPC to stay in Haelga's bunkhouse, eat at the Bee&barb etc, but the only options seem to be to use an existing NPCs, e.g. RiftenGrelkabunkhouse20x5. If I use this package will the npcs conflict or simply choose another bed to sleep in, eat at etc? Thanks in advance!
gasti89
If you plan to make your NPC stay near the place you put him the CK, use the default packages. - DefaultEat8x1 - DefaultEat20x1- DefaultSleep1x8- DefaultSandBox Choose the "EditorLocation" packages, wich means they use the place you put them in CK as starting point. NOTE: DON'T EDIT THESE PACKAGES, THEY'RE USED BY LOTS OF NPCS AND WILL MESS ALL THEUR AIs! If you plan to make the NPC do some custom stuff, like SandBoxing in the city or something like this, just create a new package. An easy way is choosing a package that you like, change its ID and edit only some little things you need (like the starting position, the radius, the conditions) Remember that if you change something in a package, all the users will have that change, so even a very small edit needs a new package. lazerus76
I will thanks. Initially I was just going to do a basic character for testing through npc editor, and then refine it later in CK. But if it's its that easy to create packages and placement in CK I'll just do it all from scratch. Thanks for the help
