kennymcg1995
Hey, I'm kind of a novice modder, I usually just make personal stuff. I've been working on a house for awhile now. I built the whole thing in about 2 hours, but I kept deciding it wasn't good enough. I've been steadily working on it for a good month now, at least. I had some torch sconces that I was using as light sources, but I decided they looked kind of silly and swapped them out for a chandelier. I had moved/deleted other sconces in this same house earlier and had no issue. I made sure both times to make a clean save from outside the interior cell before editing the inside of the house. As I said, it worked fine the first time, but this time the sconces aren't going away. The light sources themselves are gone, but the static sconce is there. Actually, now that I think about it, the sconce itself is gone, and there is instead just the floating torch with no bracket. It's static now, and I can't move it or anything. Everything else I changed was fine, but these torches are being pretty stubborn. I even went back to a save from much earlier, and they were still there, and still static. I assume this is just a glitch, and if I have to I'll figure out some clever way to cover them up, but if any of you know any tricks or steps that I missed to get rid of these magical floating torches that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
flobalob
It's because there are references to the torches in your savegame (along with every other manipulateable object you have ever visited). Exiting an area and saving does not create a clean save (Quite the reverse in fact). The only way to have a clean save is to save the game BEFORE ever visiting the area, or to create a new character. kennymcg1995
Ah, okay. That makes sense. I guess I'll just deal with it then. Thanks for the reply.
