This is what I'm wondering, too. How do people coordinate everything? I need to get a team together, find that out, and then get to work. Does anyone have an idea what to do? People ask for help, but what do they do so that their helpers can work on the file? I was just thinking to do exactly what you said. Let people take turns. That way, nothing could really get messed up, and everything would get done in order. But, I do not entirely know what I'll do.

I was just thinking just have the world builder get the mod first, then send it off to whoever's next, whose job seems fitting for what to do after building the world and the cities. I do not entirely know, though.

Most cases the mod team has some form of communication, where its through forums or, in my opinion, real-time chat like messangers or Skype.

yah i understand the communication part. the problem would be the file sharing. it would be a pain for one person to work on a certain section while other people sit around waiting. you could possibly use TESVSnip for some things but that would only work for small parts of the development and my experience with it never really worked out well :(

.....well sourceforge is for that, that or sending files through skype, or setting up a dropbox.

yah so you would have to end up taking turns, saving the file, passing it on to next person, repeat. I thought maybe that their would be some fancy cool program thing that might make group projects like these easier where everyone constantly updates the main file or something. Idk i dont know much about this stuff.

yah but anyway I think this WoW mod sounds really cool. I know i saw someone making ironforge with dwemer stuff so that would be cool. i'd love to help but im sort of a newb and idk if i'd end up being much help :( plus i'm learning how to use the creation kit by making my own mods right now... anyway good luck!

Well, I guess once I get the team together, I'll make a WIP thread, and that'll be our 'communication thread'. Just don't feel too comfortable using IM's, and I just don't feel like taking the time to make a forum specifically for the mod. I MAY do that, but expect the WIP thread much more than a thread specifically for the mod. ;)

EDIT: Since I don't think I'll need TOO big of a team, I think I'll just PM everybody on the team a download of the .esm, unless I can't do that. If not, then I'll just post the download on the WIP thread.

you make it sound easy... good luck... you're going to need it if you are going to finish this project.

Oh, I'm prepared for the project not being easy! LOL. I'm almost certain it won't go smoothly, just because, in long term projects like this, it NEVER is, no matter how small the project, no matter how coordinated the team, no matter how good your chances are, it likely will not turn out to be easy at all. . . But, that's what makes this mod a fun challenge!

I'm still not entirely certain (and don't take this as an insult >.<) I've gotten across the...scope of what you're planning. Everything in WoW is several times bigger (the world map, for instance, is ~6 times larger and has considerably less procedural foliage filling). And yes, you were right, I did mean Azeroth, lol. Oops!

Still, I'd love to play the end result, whenever that is, and I do admire your enthusiasm, so good luck!
