Need help with Robert's Male Body v5 & Solf's Snow Leopard

Recommended Posts

Alright, so I've been trying to install this properly for a while. And I have already read many tutorials but to my knowledge none of them told me how to solve this.. http://i.imgur.com/5GAbL.jpg Looks pretty stupid.. So any help at all would be appreciated. I tried the "Archive Invalidation Invalidated" thing, still didn't work. It's probably something really obvious but I'm tired of trial and error.

Well, there are actually 2 issues coming into play here.

For one, the Oblivion.esm contains an entry for female Khajiit making them use the very same textures for the feet as do the males. Nowadays bodymods, apart from a few exceptions, almost exclusively use the "foot" texture for fullbody coverage. Robert's Male definitely does. This Vanilla setting combined with other famous body mods like Exnem's/HGEC not shipping their own ESP to fix this lead Robert to come up with an own texture to be used only by Khajiit males, "rtfootmale.dds", so "footmale.dds" could be replaced by said ESP-less body mods without messing up the male Khajiit bodies. Some of Slof's texture replacers, especially when for Robert's Male, now correctly replace "rtfootmale.dds" with male Khajiit textures but not "footmale.dds". But when another mod is in control of the racial settings for male Khajiit, Robert's Male plugin not correctly merged into the bashed patch or for similar causes of mod-setup-failure, the game will using the Vanilla one, "footmale.dds", now the wrong one. That's when you get regular Robert's Male Khajiit skin textures on male Khajiit while very well intending to use Slof's replacement textures instead. In this case you either fix the racial settings coming out of your load order, or you simply replace "footmale.dds" with Slof's texture as well, possibly risking to mess up female Khajiiti when using Exnem's/HGEC or similar.

But more important, this is "not" Robert's Male shown in your screenshot. It's the regular Vanilla body mesh, no mistake possible.

Your body uses "upperbodymale.dds" for the chest, "handmale.dds" for the hands, "lowerbodymale.dds"(?) for the legs and "footmale.dds"/"rtfootmale.dds"(depending on the winning racial settings) for the feet, and only the feet will use the right one. As can be seen in your shot.

Robert's Male Body wasn't installed correctly or isn't used by your game. if you are on Steam Oblivion perhaps, you'll need to redate the wrong timestamps on the BSA files, as they're far "newer" than any body mod's external files and the game will always use them over any others, rendering "replacer"-type mods in general disfunctional. And different to disc-version Oblivion this is then also the case for "all" assets, not only textures. You can either use the "Reset BSA timestamps" button from OBMM's Archive Invalidation Utilities or manually redate the BSAs as instructed in several Steam Oblivion modding forums to the matter. Once you did this make sure Archive Invalidation is properly at work, BSA Redirection being the only approach to it I can sanely advise, either via OBMM, Wrye Bash, or installing "ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated!", they all do the same and are fire-once-and-forget solutions.
