Weird Wyre problem

Hi All

 

I have uploaded the following files to assist.

Wyre has marked four files in red;

 

bonemold_helemts.esp (Is supposed to be a master file for FranArmorAddon V2)

ExnemRuneskulls.esp (FCOM Runeskulls installed and active)

Kobu's Jack-of-trades.esp (was working before)

Reznod_mannequins.esp (was working before)

 

I have reinstalled the above and run bash patched.

 

Also I have weird blackout of NPCS and creatures and recently female NPCs are missing (or unable to wear armor)

See screenshot for clear idea of what I am talking about. Also some crates are now missing meshes??

Although I am having these problems, I have to say that I love oblivion modded as much as I love Morrowind modded, and I can't say thanks enough to all the modders who share their work and go to such great lengths to improve, fix and generally deliver the product I was hoping vanilla Oblivion would be. :thanks:

With all those major mods you're using, you undoubtedly have a lot of conflicts. You're probably going to have to sacrifice any mods that change the same things.

 

You don't have to delete them, per se, but you would have to uncheck them and keep track of your saves.

 

The other choice would be to decide what mods are changing the same thing, then deleting them.

 

Your best way to determine what changes the same things in the game is to print the Readme files for each of your mods, read over them, and make notes of what's changed.

FCOM Helper does a lot, but here's what's happening:

 

Suppose, for example, you have two mods that change faces. Even with them being load-ordered, Oblivion is going nuts trying to handle two mods changing the same meshes & textures. Your game could even crash if one mod looks for a file that isn't there because another mod changing the same thing has supplanted the first file.

 

You're much better off determining which ones you really want. There are very few exceptions to the rule on mods that change the same things in the game.

 

I know what you're experiencing. You see the whole buffet of mods, and you want every dish on your plate. But Oblivion can't run all of them at the same time.

 

You should go into Windows Explorer and take a long look at the folder hierarchy for Meshes & Textures. It's like the Cretan Labyrinth + a Gordian Knot. It's an intricate web, and the balance can easily be undone.

 

Also keep in mind that Oblivion has to load in all those files just so you can see something on-screen: So you want to always keep your mod list as straight as possible, so you get the end-result of the great graphics you expect to see.
