ProjectVRD
I will making wallpaper based from screenshots taken in Skyrim, here is the first one if you want it. I will make more as I go along but I am looking for a good ENB beforehand. I currently have none installed, so if you have any suggestions for an ENB that is wallpaper friendly then feel free to suggest. In the meantime, here is my first Wallpaper which was uploaded about a week and half ago. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/image.php?id=74213http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/images/3455973-1335211640.jpg Edited May 3, 2012 by ProjectVRD
shuriken88
Ha! I like it mate. "Stupid dragon... Flames are for PUSSIES!". I made a few Oblivion wallpapers back in the day using screenshots and Photoshop. They aint too tough, (I was pretty new to Photoshop back then) but I enjoyed making them:- From the inside of one of those Oblivion realm towershttp://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff489/shurikenUK/S88Background.jpg From the Imperial City, based on the thought process of music productionhttp://i1238.photobucket.com/albums/ff489/shurikenUK/Shuriken-ThoughtProcesscopy.jpg Maybe I'll get back into doing wallpapers, since I've got quite a few Skyrim shots, and I'm a LOT better with PS since then! ProjectVRD
I like the art direction of those, looking forward to seeing your Skyrim stuff now. Do you use layers now that you know Photoshop better? Here is another one I have made, called Power: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/image.php?id=78019http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/imageshare/images/3455973-1335980871.jpg Edited May 3, 2012 by ProjectVRD
nisen
Great screenshots, that first ones brilliant, second one looks like its hoping youd increase your AA abit, but assuming thats more a DOF issue; Ive not tried it yet but theres a new mod Standalone SMAA claiming to improve AA at no performance cost if your looking for that sortof thing and have you considered turning your wallpapers into main menu loading screen mod? Its pretty easy to do but image quality takes a hit, so think it helps if theyre not sharp focus images to start with meaning action shots with DOF look better. Made a good one earlier today linked in the comments here Im really pleased with the result
fms1
These look great! Good work.@ nisen I used the leather overlay wallpaper loading screens for DarkUIDarn for Oblivion and really enjoyed those, It would be great to see something like that for Skyrim, especially given Skyrim's better graphics. EDIT: If you get rid of the smoke on the load screens (there's already mods for that, I know). Edited May 3, 2012 by fms1
nisen
fms1, whats your idea? I used to use the DarnN menus in Oblivion and never looked back, but what i did was just a static menu image, but if you want that with leather backing dyou have a screenshot of type you liked
fms1
Here are the loading screen overlays I use for Oblivion High Resolution Loading Screens EDIT: The leather overlay didn't matter at all, the screens looked great. nisen
oh right that mod, yea leather looks good, Ive tried to remove the Oblivion logo cleanly to test it, but didnt work perfectly, so need to redo the leather before id call it final but heres what itd look like for Skyrim http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5789/leatherloading.jpg

nisen
ive no clue how those are loaded, dont think theyre static texture files but guess thats logical being animations but dont know where theyre stored, also dont know if you could replace them with static images either
