Palpenious
I've had this problem pretty much since the beginning. I'm also running on Vista, and have UAC disabled, but most of the time quitting Oblivion causes that message to come up. As well as taking forever, because Windows is "searching for a solution to the problem", right. Funny it never comes up with a solution. In any case, have you tried quitting through the console comand "qqq"? I believe when I tried that it worked a little better. Either way, it doesn't hurt anything, so if you can put up with that message every time, just tab to windows, and tell it to cancel. As long as you're not CTD, you should be fine. macmert
Try to exit to main menu first, then quit to desktop... That might solve your problem :D
SoulReaver911
Do you have the Unofficial Oblivion Patch installed? One of the older versions does that. Get the newest version, 3.0 and add on the 3.1 hotfix, and that will solve the problem. Now you can change settings and the game will save them!
