Me and rickythecat are in progress of making a revolutionary airship mod with features not seen in any other. we are trying to get a full team put together so any scripters, modelers, texterizer, or any mod making skilled persons want a part in this pm one of us and well give you the low down on the current concepts and updated confirmed features. we have a thread already started here http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=66238 if you want to check it out a lil bit but this thread will be the official airship mod thread used to discuss it and recruit new modders. so current confirmed features are: -Massive Airship at your command -upgrades for ship-fully manned personel for ship-transport system for ship to move to diferent locations around tamriel and other worlds-ability to dock ship in major cities with their handy sky dock-explore new worlds-inter-planetary trade system-each new world will be unique with its own style of gameplay and quests-new factions there are to many to list really but check with me or rickythecat to get a current full list of features and concept ideas. but also feel free to give your input on something you would like to see added or removed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
saamziel Posted July 11, 2008 Author Share Posted July 11, 2008 ok so wat i'am calling episode 0 is under way. currently background and lore for the ship and the current worlds under development are being written. new features have been confirmed and i'am making a full list of intended features broken down to episodes for chronological and lore purposes which will be released shortly. like i have said anyone wanting to help out is welcomed to me and rickythecat are busy writing at the moment and with the depth of the current plan we will need all the help we can get. character and world development alone will take most of my time(because there are so many) so we need modelers and scripters mostly but also texterizers and more writers too. i think 2 more writer should do it but i can use a unlimited supply of the others. anywho check use out k Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ihateregisteringeverywhere Posted July 11, 2008 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Hm, the airship design seems like a simple one. 3 or so hours of work for the basic shape without the canons and little windows and all that jazz. The front of the ship actualy looks similar to the dwemer airship I'm designing, so that's fun. Anyway, on to what I realy wanted to say. I've seen a few worldspace mods. For example the one that's trying to recreate Morrowind. The guys that're making it are working their asses off on it for over a year, yet it's still half assed - no NPC's, no cities, the ground structure is disgustingly generic etc. And that's a single stupid land. Not even a whole continent. Much less a whole world. And you want to create several worlds complete with cities, dungeons, fractions, quests and all that jazz? Hm, 4 years seems like a reasonable mark. Yup, 4 years with a team of 20 or so fully devoted people might do it. I'm looking forward to downloading your mod. Anyway, I might half consider doing the airship mesh for you after I finish mine for the dragoncity mod. saamziel Posted July 12, 2008 Author Share Posted July 12, 2008 Erm yeah, hit me at [email protected], cept msns being a b&$@% for me, but anyways yeah. shadowace, darkninja it'd great to have your help. but where to start right? so much to do. at the moment ship design is priority 1. we need exterior and interior. the out side is self explanatory but the inside needs some moving parts i.e. elevators. the capatians chair on the bridge has to be able to elevate as well the bridge of the ship and the captains quarters will be 1 cell where using the chair you can go up and down between them. spacey stuff like that wat do ya think give your input on this. thanks again Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Working with a finished design will be so much easier than designing my own, so that's a + for you. yes you are correct the end result is about 4 years away but we are releasing in episodes. first one will only have one maybe 2 worlds which will be easy cause we have a clear cut vision of wat the worlds will be like and im working on characters right now after we create the main quest line characters and side quest characters its just fill in the gaps. but which reminds me we need someone to design new houses models as well anyone up for it?thanx for all yor input i look forward to seeing your work Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
