I broke Lydia Mods...

First off, let's establish what I'm using:

1) I have the latest version of Skyrim

2) I am using Skyrim NPC Editor to mod Lydia

3) Used Wrye Bash

4) And CK

So, I was trying to fix the glitch that causes some NPC's head to become a darker shade than the rest of their body. I am new to Wrye Bash and the CK, so this is probably where something went wrong. I opened up Wrye Bash and clicked on HouseCarlWhiterun.esp, then I right-clicked and chose "Esmify Self". Seeing nothing happening, I clicked it again. Then, seeing nothing again, I clicked "Make Esm copy" or something like that. I found the esm that generated and tried to open it with the CK. I was utterly confused by the CK and closed it after poking in and out of a few menus (didn't save anything). After this, I deleted the esm and tried to play my game and forget about the whole thing.

Here is where I noticed stuff was outta whack. Lydia acts as if the HousecarlWhiterun.esp mod is not active even though it is checked. I looked at the other NPCs I have modded and saw that they are working like they should. I tried to modify and reinstall Lydia's mod but came to no avail. I even tried rolling back my system to earlier today but that didn't work since it doesn't interact with documents. So, Zim is completely lost and doesn't want to have to resort to reinstalling his whole game to get rid of one problem if he doesn't have to.

I am thinking it has to do with the "esmify self", but I couldn't find any files to get rid of. Does anyone have some advice for me?

Thank you guys for your help!

EDIT: Fixed the issue. I renamed the "HousecarlWhiterun" .bsa and .esp to "Lydia" and now it works. Unfortunately, the head color is still off, but I give up trying to fix it... unless someone has some advice.
