SLAYERMASTER77
As the title says, I've been having a lot of CTDs, and I have no idea why. Wrye Bash and LOOT both say I'm fine, and I've gone through and removed all ITM files in TES5Edit for the mods that had ITMs.Here's my current load order, the blacked out ones are mods I don't have anymore (blacked them out because I was trying process of elimination a while back), I took these pics a while back, and the crashing didn't start until long after getting rid of those, so I know that not having those isn't the reason for the CTDs, and I don't even remember what those mods were, lol. These are my active plugins screen capped from Nexus Mod Manager.https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NN85QCjOrWX9DRijrXhcIfPjI7Hk-sLr/view?usp=sharingAny help would be greatly appreciated, because I have no idea what I should do now, I've tried everything I can think of. WastelandAssassin
well , the fact that the crashes only started now does not mean they aren't related to the mods you've removedin fact , depending on what these mods are , removing them could be the cause of your issues (you can try cleaning your save file , maybe that would work) also , I'm pretty sure that cleaning all of your mods isn't advisablesome mods aren't supposed to be cleaned , and cleaning them might actually cause issues with themyou should always check the mod's page before you go around messing with it like this other useful info you can try to provide is if the crashes have anything in common (specific places or actions you take , after a specific amount of time eta)when have the crashes started , and have you done anything with the game that may have caused this? (have you done anything before the crashes began? added or removed a mod etc)look into your save game folder . what is the size of your latest saves? do crashes also happen on older saves?also , you can try to start a new save , and see if this would work without issues . this will help you determine if the issues is with your game , or with the specific save you are usingwhatever extra information you can provide will help us help you
SLAYERMASTER77
How would I go about cleaning my save?I didn't clean *all* of them, just the ones that TES5Edit said had ITM files in them. The crashes seem random, though most recently they just happen after I hit continue or load game, the save file is one that I just made today, to test to see if the crashes are still happening, they were, so I came here. WastelandAssassin
I understand that you've only cleaned the plugins with ITMs in them . what I'm saying is that you shouldn't do that unless the mod author has confirmed that it is safe to do socleaning plugins could lead to issues , so you shouldn't just clean all ITMs . that is what I meant , hopefully it's clearer now as for cleaning your save , there are programs that allow save cleaning . can't remember the name , just google Skyrim clean saves , you should be able to find the right program (though if you can't , I'll try and find it for you) try loading an older save file , and see if it crashes as wellalso , you can try loading an older save , then once the game loads try loading the latest save and see if it works
