Hello,

 

I'm new to both the game and this site so I have to beg your patience. In a nutshell my follower has gone missing and hasn't been behind me for some time now. I'm not sure why because I don't even have a horse yet. Unfortunately if I try to get another one they say it looks like I have one already. She was very useful while she was there. Worse yet she has some of my equipment I gave her to carry.

 

Is there some sort of cheat code I can use to reset my follower or some other sort of trick? I've tried fast forwarding to towns and waiting for a good while and that's all I can think to do. :facepalm:

Use the console, the ~ key on most computers. Type "prid RefID" and then "moveto player", or "RefID.moveto player" or "player.moveto RefID" (without the quotation marks).

 

If you don't know your followers RefID, go here http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers and click on their name and you'll go to their page where their RefID is listed.

What follower and where did you recruit them? Go back to the place you first recruited them and they should be there, otherwise they may be lying in a ditch somewhere, just another victim of a random Skeever attack

 

If that fails you can use the console commands:

 

Prid <Npc ID>

 

then

 

moveto player

 

You can also use:

 

set playerfollowercount to 0

 

You can get the NPC Id from the Wiki page and you need the Ref ID

 

DO NOT under ANY circumstanced use the "player.placeatme" command, as this CAN and usually DOES nerf your game ...

Thanks for the help. The follower was / is Jenassa and I did check back at the Druken Huntman. Although if I had found her drinking when she should be following me, I would have sacked her on the spot.

 

I found her in the wiki so I'll try out the codes. If it was the ditch and the Skeevers she'll get another chance from me.
