killrhawk
Hey there! So, I'm very new to this whole modding deal, and I'm hoping that I could get some help with something that google doesn't seem to have an answer for. I'm having an issue with SKSE64. At first, it was having issues with being the correct patch, which I eventually worked out, but now it's telling me that I'm using the version of SKSE64 for the Steam beta branch, and that I should go back and install another version. For reference I'm running SKSE 2.0.4 for this message to pop up, and it's telling me to run 2.0.2. However, when I install 2.0.2 and get that running, it tells me that my version is out of date, and that I need to upgrade to 2.0.4. I'm really not sure how to fix the issue, and it turns out that SKSE is pretty important as far as running SkyUI goes, which is pretty important for everything else, so if anyone has a fix that they can think of, I would really appreciate it. If you need any other information, I'd be happy to provide it. I have a decent number of mods trying to run, but this doesn't sound like an issue with things conflicting. Or at least, I don't think so. Thank you so much!
killrhawk
So, just as an update to this, apparently sometimes the game will load in with it accepting SKSE64 when it's the 2.0.2 version, however if I load a file in game, it'll then decide that it's no longer happy with SKSE64 anymore. Dunno if that can help anyone diagnose my issue, but it seemed relevant.
Deleted3897072User
You have been trying to install the SKSE download for the wrong game, so of course it doesn't work. You can't get SKSE64 from Steam at all. You have to go to skse.silverlock.org and click on the link where it says Current SE build 2.0.7 (runtime 1.5.39): 7z archive . You should get the file skse64_2_00_07.7z. Open it and read the ReadMe file to see how to install it.

Deleted3897072User
What version of the game are you running? Is it 1.5.39 or something older?
killrhawk
It's older. 1.4 something, which is why I was trying to run the 2.0.4 version of SKSE64 at first.
killrhawk
So I did some more trial and error. It seems like as long as it loads fine on start up, even if I start getting the error message on a death or reset, it still allows me the access to SkyUI, which I guess means that it's playable, although I'm not sure what other weird bugs that it might be causing, cause I have some other funky stuff going on in game too. I don't think it would be related to SKSE though.
wickedchild
Hell, I'm having a very similar problem. The game itself loads fine, but when the save finishes loading, I keep getting a pop up saying that SKSE64 is not running and SkyUI will not function. I have tried contacting silverlock, but i keep getting a mailer back saying that the web address does not exist.
Deleted3897072User
killrhawk - Any particular reason why you haven't updated on Steam to 1.5.39 ? Edited May 11, 2018 by OldMansBeard
