Male head bug + face import

I have been playing this character for almost a year, I really don’t want to part with her, so please help

My character is a pale-skinned Redguard.

Some time ago I performed a Wrye Bash face import on her (from another pale-skinned Redguard :))).

She is now a vampire, with the ubiquitous male head bug.

I cure it the usual way – by first loading a save with no vampirism showing, then the current one.

When her vampirism started to show, the skintone of her face and body to intense orange-brown – as, I suppose, is usual for Redguards. Which in itself is not a problem -- see my avatar.

But put all of these together – and you get a pale face on a orange body. Or, alternatively, a perfectly evenly-coloured elderly gentleman with tits.

Any suggestions? I will attach any saves if it will help.

Thanks SoulReaver. I have about 50 mods – will list if you like – but the problem persists with no mods activated. The only one that I think is relevant is the Vampirism Overhaul 3 mod. When I have it activated and try to load any save made before vampirism started to show, the game just crashes to desktop.

I tried to attach the saves to this thread but it doesn't seem to work - i posted them in my files, here is the link:

Thanks again!

The control save file "vampirism not showing" looks great, so of course there's no problem there, but I can see why you would be discomforted about the other save. It of course comes up with the manly face, so the problem definitely lies with the save. The console shows that your character isn't a vampire, even though he/she has the eyes of one, so I don't know where that's coming from. Also, changing the sex back and forth in the "showracemenu" cures the man's face, but you would have to reset everything about your characters face and skill points (the face being more problematic) and the skin tone stays redguard. So that may not be an option.

My suggestions:

1: Check to see if Wyre Bash has a "fix" option that makes it undo what ever the hell it did to mess up your character.

2: (This is a last resort, as it may not be plausible, your character might not look the same.) Write down all your skill points form the "vampirism showing" save and try to record approximations of the face detail from the other save by looking in the showracemenu via console. (If you do this, do not save! It resets skill points.) After recording all this in the "vampirism showing" save try to open showracemenu in the console and fix up your character's face. After doing so, you will have to change all your skill points back to what hey were via console commands which you can find here. At this point, you could also try the face import again.

3: Try skimming through Vampirism Overhaul 3's readme or search for a similar problem that someone had with the mod, and see if you can't find what the mod could have done to your character.

I'm sorry I could not be of more help. You might also try asking around the forums about Wyre Bash and see if anyone else gets bugs like this from using it.
