Terrible Lagging

I'm going to try removing all the other games since I don't play them anymore. They are just taking up space, basically.

To the one who posted the links, only one of them worked, and that was the last one listed. The first mod was not available, and I'm trying not to download any more stuff right now.

I've adjusted all the settings to the lowest amount possible, even excluding the reflection options. It's still lagging, and I'm using the Standard Aspect Ratio last. It's still just as bad.

What's interesting is when I tried to attack the two Stormcloak soldiers after entering the hold, it appears that the attacks aren't at all effective.

I'm going to try visiting the computer store tomorrow and see what they can do, and I will make a decision based on what they might charge. I really want to play the game, but it isn't really worth the sixty bucks when it keeps lagging as slow as it does. I have to wait at least two seconds between each action and movement. That's not an exaggeration, either.

Even with the lowest options selected (I could not find out how to turn off the HD part), the game still lagged as slow as it does with the highest options.

I have decided I will take the computer to a computer shop, and I will see if they can do anything about it. One thing I would suggest to those reading this, though, those who might have the same problems or are thinking about getting Skyrim, check your computer's VRAM FIRST. It's not worth the sixty bucks and then more to remove the lag, honestly! :P

Thank you for all the help that you guys were able to give. Maybe with the upgraded version I can play it of highest quality and without the lagging. :) I decided not to download any more mods as of now since I wanted to play the game like it was originally meant to be, save for playing as a child hero.

You're welcome to send me suggestions on what mods I should add if I want to enjoy my game a lot, though. ^^ ... *coughslikeinfinitemoneycoughs*

I quickly read through your system specs. It appears you have a desktop. If that is the case, you can probabaly upgrade your video card (or add one, it looks like the one you have is integrated) and the game will play much better.

If I was wrong and you have a laptop, then there is no way to upgrade the video card, unfortunately.

For reference I have a laptop, with a low end discrete graphics card, GeForce 310M with 512 VRAM. I can play Skyrim on Medium settings with no problems or lag. I think Skyrim runs better on a PC with a discrete graphics card.

Hopefully this helps.

I have a desktop. When I talked to the guy at the computer shop, he said it would cost anywhere between fifty to eighty-five dollars to fix the lag because he'd have to upgrade or replace the graphics card.
