SpindaSwirlz
So I was trying to play Skyrim: Special Edition for the first time in a while and the game just isn't applying any of the mods I have installed (and it's pretty heavily modded, trying to load a save will cause it to say the save is corrupted and can't be loaded). There's mods for skipping the into and a main menu retexture which aren't happening as well as it listing off all the modded content that's missing before I load a save. Those same mods that aren't working or are listed as being absent have that lovely green checkmark in the NMM and are enabled under plugins, plus I'm able to see that they're downloaded in Games > Nexus Mod manager > SkyrimSE > Mods, so I think the problem is something relating to the game not knowing where to look for the mods so it can implement them into the game. I did have an issue with my RAM a few months ago and the fellow at the computer place did things relating to my files I don't really understand, but it caused problems similar to this where I'd click a shortcut for example and I'd get a message saying it's unable to find whatever-file.exe... If anyone has an idea on how I might go about fixing this do let me know. I think the problem has to do with Skyrim SE thinking the mods are in one place but they're in another now, yet not only could I be totally wrong about that I wouldn't know how to begin fixing it anyway ~ And Thanks Some Info: I updated NMM to 0.65.2 just earlier todayThe game is up to date and I've got all the DLCSkyrim SE is in Computer > Mechanical HDD (D:) > Games > Steam > steamapps > common > Skyrim Special EditionMods are in Computer > Mechanical HDD (D:) > Games > Nexus Mod Manager > SkyrimSE > ModsMy computer has the capacity to run the game fine, it did it in the past and can do it now (just the mods are all absent)Don't think I have Skyrim Script ExtenderJust got LOOT, it doesn't seem to recognize all the mods either, seeing as the only 5 plugins it lists are the game, update, and the three DLCsLemme know if there's anything else someone wants to know Edited May 11, 2018 by SpindaSwirlz
DarkRudra
Are you launching the game using the Launch Skyrim feature in NMM? If not, there's your problem. Skyrim itself expects mods to be in D\Games\(blahblah)\Skyrim Special Edition\Data. Since NMM is storing them elsewhere, you need to launch the game from directly within NMM rather than launching it from a desktop shortcut or from within Steam for the mods to be detected. SpindaSwirlz
I've only been launching it from NMM actually xd ~ So it's a different problem I suppose... That folder the game expects it to be in (Skyrim Special Edition instead of SkyrimSE) exists under Nexus Mod Manager but it's totally empty; could creating a Data folder and moving everything from Mods over possibly fix it? I might just try that later today Edited May 13, 2018 by SpindaSwirlz
