isavegas
Hey!I'm new to all modding including status bars. I really need som help!I want to make it look like something like this. I'm using UVII thus the charging time on the spells. Please tell me if there is something you think I'm really missing out on. Thanks :) get OBMM and install it, hit create, add archive, and then select the hud status bar archive you downloaded from the hud status bars page. hit create omod, then hit yes til it says "compressing." then double click the "hud status bars" thing in the right pane and follow through the steps, selecting the styles you like. use the "orb" compass for the closest thing to what you want about the mini-map and probably vanilla style for the health bars and stuff. that SHOULD make the right set-up. now, go to c:\program files\bethesda softworks\oblivion\data\ini\ (or wherever you installed oblivion) and open "hud status bars.ini." now, i dont know all the stuff for the spell charging (i use deadly reflex 6 and im still learning hsb too. uv2 didnt work for me. bows and arrows didnt work right, and the weapon swapping to left hand and the grip-switch didnt either) but if you work on it, you can easily figure out how to re-arrange the bars. i still have uv2 (just not installed atm), so if you want, i might be able to play with it and put something together for you when i finish fixing my hsb stuff (i couldnt figure out what the values were for frenzy and exp in werewolf: the awakening. anyways, ill just make you the file along with descriptions in it (so if you open it to edit the look of the hud, you can see what most of the stuff means) k? wetblanket
In case you are unfamiliar with the mod isavegas is referring to: HUD Status Bars and it's latest [relz] thread (link to older threads at top of page). isavegas
In case you are unfamiliar with the mod isavegas is referring to: HUD Status Bars and it's latest [relz] thread (link to older threads at top of page). yeah thanks for pointing that out wetblanket. i didnt think that he might not be using HUD Status Bars and the absolutely necessary OBSE i use the tesnexus download section for most of my mods, but thats the official thread i think. sorry i assumed you have it. make sure you read the description wherever you get it and ensure you're using Obse and you get the MenuQue plugin for it. anyways, i apologize for the disjointed and rushed reply to your question/problem you posted. i was at school (i graduate may 25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D) and i found your post while trolling google for some information on the Werewolf: The Awakening hud values, and i realized, if no-one else has commented, and i could help, why not!? lol. anyways, my main purpose for replying so fast yet again is because i played around with OBMM and Wrye Bash (very very very useful programs) and i realized i had NifSE installed incorrectly (in "oblivion/obse/plugins" instead of "oblivion/data/obse/plugins") and i got UVII and Deadly Reflex 6 working together semi-seamlessly. im running out of keys to set functions to tho... i need a gaming mouse. lol. ive gotten my HSB mostly working, so once i fix the last bar (it refuses to do anything but sit there, empty) ill back it up, and allow the game to regenerate the ini file to the default one, then ill get cracking on the HUD you want. ill enjoy the challenge. just remember, im using the 640x800 video setting because im on a laptop and my mods are heavy enough anything bigger than that (and it even looks great at that resolution!) might render it unplayable. i dont know if the x and y specifications on HSB bars are ratio-based reference or screen resolution coordinates, and you seem to be using wide-screen by the picture you uploaded, so thats kinda up in the air without further information. anyways, ill get back to you with more data when i start working on your HUD. UPDATE: finally got my bars working. i should have yours done in a couple of days, long as nothing crops up Edited May 15, 2012 by isavegas
bergsbullen
Thanks for your answers, i have both obse and menuque. :)I'm gonna try werewolf: the awakening out now, it sounded cool. I have 1280x720 (i won't die if i have to go down to 640x800 ;)), by the sound of your explanation maybe it's best to do it in that resolution? if you want to of course :D Oh i forgot, i have a minimap outside the hud that's working so you won't have to make one :) I really need to learn this stuff XD Edit: I noticed now that i have to go down to 640x800 because my computer can't handle the higher ones X) Edited May 15, 2012 by bergsbullen
