wifeofthebeast
I have recently purchased DAO-Ultimate Edition on steam, and I can't seem for the life of me to get this mod to show up in game. After scouring the forums and applying multiple "fixes" I have relented and am finally asking for a bit of help from a few .override/DAO-ModManager pros. All non-dazip and .override files have been properly placed in Documents///BioWare///DragonAge///packages///core///override and are working with no notable issues. DAMM is installed, and unpacked within Documents///BioWare///DragonAge Am also utilizing DA_CharGenMorph_Compiler for appearance based mods. -Downloaded Natural Bodies All In One 3.0.7z from Nexus, read and followed instructions to the best of my ability (however you can be the judge of that)-Placed 7z file in DAO-ModManager_1_9d_277 directory, extracted files, moved newly created NBIAO.override file into DAO-ModManager's Override folder. -Opened DAO-ModManager.exe. Files are visible in bottom window. (tried first: drag and drop file into Installed Overrides window. Success. tried second: install option from drop down by clicking NBIAO icon in bottom window. Both options worked, received popup that override is compatible. Icon is visible in Installed Overrides window.-Able to config with no issues.Load up game. Take off every single item in all gear slots. Toon wearing underwear. Smash head on desk. I don't even really care about the nude mod at this point. I care that I am unable to fix this issue. I'd love the help! Thanks in advance.PS: I am using the Dragon Age Redesigned mod. I saw some posts questioning the two mods conflicting, however there has been no definite answer that I've seen. Thandal
Hey there, wifeofthebeast; Welcome to the Nexus. Hmmm... Everything you've said (and shown) looks correct. I don't use "DA Redesigned" myself, for exactly the reason you noted: too many potential conflicts with other mods. (And for the same reason, I don't use "Improved Atmosphere" either.) So I can't help you if that's the source of the problem. A couple of questions:1. You have tried removing a character's armour/robes in-game, right? (That's when the NBaio-selected body will appear.) 2. Just wondering, (since it's the most common hiccough with DAMM) what are the file paths being set under the "Options" tab? (It's the last one on the right as shown in your screenshot above.) One point: The ".override" files don't need to , (and generally shouldn't) go in your usual "\BioWare\packages\core\override" folder. DAMM will put the necessary files there for you depending on the selections you make during the "Configuration" process. The ".override" files belong in their own folder. I use a completely independent folder structure for DAMM. See my screenshot below. Then I adjust the file paths in the "Options", as mentioned above. Hope that helps!
theskymoves
There's no chance of NBaio and Dragon Age Redesigned having a conflict, since they have no files in common and edit completely different aspects of the game. NBaio -> body meshes and textures Dragon Age Redesigned -> Replacement morphs for NPCs only. The required Dracomies True Textures component consists of face texures, eye texures, a few hair and skin tints, and I believe one eye mesh, all used only by the aforementioned NPC replacement morphs. I will reiterate Thandal's suggestions re checking folder paths and moving the DAO-MM store folder to another location. Also, I'd check the NBaio folder in the override proper (\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\packages\core\override\NBaio\) and make sure that the config actually copied the needed files to the 'default' sub- folders. (And I'd check the permissions on the folder, in the interest of ruling out that Windows annoyance as the culprit.) If the folders under NBaio/default are correctly populated, the next troubleshooting step would be to remove everything but the NBaio folder from the override, and see if that resolves the issue. If so, then look for another mod in override (most likely one with a folder that alphabetically comes after 'NBaio') that is conflicting. wifeofthebeast
Thank you for your replies! To answer a few questions:1) All clothes are gear slots are completely empty when checking the mod. Sadly, the character stays sheathed in the default underwear. 2) I have added an attachment of my DAMM pathing. My original go through with this mod, I only added the .override and .dazip files to their respective folders within the DAMM/mods directory. The mods folder has 1 dazip folder, and one overrides folder. I tried a few other methods, however am currently on a completely clean install of both DAMM and NBAIO as well as all other mods that utilize it. The only files related to these items that are within my docs/da/packages/core/override folder were placed there by DAMM. I have checked this folder as per theskymoves and all is in its right place. In fact, I am almost unsure if ANY of the items, the dazips or the .overrides even work, however all show they are installed have no conflict, and the game recognizes when their files are not properly installed. The game yelled at me when starting up when I did not properly install one of the dazip files, and worked like a charm when I installed it the right way in DAMM. So im thinking things probably DO work, however just like theskymoves mentioned, i could be experiencing a conflict with one of the other mods. I will remove the mods in override proper and replace them one by one to find conflicting mod. Thank you guys for the advice!
wifeofthebeast
Alright guys, that fixed it! It turns out that the conflict was caused by the elf_update mod. So now I know, the elf update is not compatible with nbaio which hopefully could help out someone else in the future. All mods are working as expected. Nbaio does seem to have a slight cut around the neck- it looks like a necklace but it's not. Is this normal with this mod? Otherwise, skin textures are a match. Again, thank you! Thandal
@wifeofthebeast; Glad you got things sorted! And yes, the line around the neck marks the separation between the "head" and the "torso" elements of the body model for movement animations. You'll notice that it's present on all the characters in the vanilla game too, they just have some piece of jewelry or article of clothing that covers it. It can be much more noticeable with NBaio because a. nothing to hide it, and b. the modded skin textures aren't necessarily the exact same ones as the originals. The head/face has the original, the neck/torso the modded one.
