My .esp doesn't change the NPC's appearance

Hi,

I made a simple .esp file that is meant to alter the looks of John Hancock.

He is supposed to look like this:

V4bYKo8.png

However ingame he still looks the same, and if I load a new model in with the placeatme-command it will still show his default looks.

I made the fallout2prefs.ini change from the wiki.

http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation

As well as this change:

In Fallout4.ini, repalce the line sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\ (under the [Archive] section), with:

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

However when I look at the appdata folder of Fallout 4 there is no Plugins.txt, but only a DLCList.txt where the Hancock.esp is shown.

Ingame, when I open the mod window, this is that it shows me:

Is the mod properly activated or am I doing something wrong?

I here is the mod-file, maybe someone can download it and tell me if it works for them:

(can't put it here as attachment for some reason)

It worked for me, man he is one BIG UGLY!, good one. I noticed that there is NO check mark next to your mod.

Thanks, that checkmark thingy helped me resolve it.

By adding *Hancock.esp with a * at the start manually to the "plugins.txt" it added a checkmark ingame, activating the mod.

I created a mod for it now, as I thought it wouldn't hurt to share it with people:
