Dak181 Posted May 4, 2012 Share Posted May 4, 2012 so im creating a custom armor using the top half of the blades armor and the bottom half of the ebony armor. i exported both to blender deleted the part i wasnt gonna use, exported it again. then imported both into an existing armor and re aligned in nifskope, applied my modified textures, everything looked good there. i put it into the creation kit, still no errors, then when i try to equip it in game i get an instant ctd. im at a loss. i can send you the .nif file and/or the textures if you think you can help but i have no idea what to do at this point. please heeeelp!! :D p.s. im almost positive i exported to and from blender correctly, the only thing i didnt do was re create the dismember data in blender, could that be it? ive never done that before so i just skipped it lol Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Dak181 Posted May 4, 2012 Author Share Posted May 4, 2012 alright i figured out the ctd problem, it was the dismember stuff, i guess i deleted it in blender, so i had to remove the corresponding node in nifskope. but now it shows up as completely invisible when i equip it. do i need to go back and fix it in blender or is something else wrong? Dak181 Posted May 4, 2012 Author Share Posted May 4, 2012 Yes both have a normal map, and yes I added an armor info, (I don't know of any other way to get a mesh to be added to an armor lol). I pretty sure it's because the dismember data didn't export from blender, so the nodes in nifskope don't actually connect to anything.does anyone have a good tutorial for modifying/creating dismember data in blender?
