What was the game that caused your gaming addiction to begin?

The first game I remember obsessing over was the elder scrolls 4 oblivion, I never played a game with that kind of freedom. I saw a video on the xbox 360, that was like "things to do in oblivion", and I remember seeing a guy stack apples , and tried throwing an apple at them, eventually getting frusterated and hurling a fireball at the stack, sending apples everywhere. It was just so mind blowing for a person who never heard of an rpg before. Upon getting it, I played literally so much my parents got upset with me over how much I played it, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

Sid Meier's Civilization.

 

before that, I rarely played game. I didn't even really like games. But Civilization dramatically changed my attitude towards TBS, and gaming in general.

When I was a kid, I loved to play Ninety-Nine Nights. Four or five hours a day, I used to think it was the best game ever.

Looking back at it now, eh, it doesn't look good. But since then I've loved video games of many types.

Mine was some really obscure but really fun game I can't remember the name of but you played as a prisoner and monsters started showing up but the player could transform into one.
